The COOSPO S10 upgrades a road bike with carbon crank arms and accurate power measurement in one complete system. The power meter is positioned centrally in the spider and measures the total force transferred through both crank arms. This means the measurement is not limited to only the left or right crank arm.
The integrated spindle has a diameter of 24 mm, which is the same diameter used by Shimano Hollowtech II cranksets. On many bicycles, the S10 can therefore be used with an existing Shimano-compatible BSA, BB86 or other bottom bracket designed for a 24 mm spindle.
The S10 uses a 110 BCD four-bolt chainring mounting pattern and can be combined with suitable Shimano-compatible road chainrings. This makes it an attractive option for riders who want to retain compatible existing chainrings while upgrading to carbon crank arms and an integrated power meter.
The spider power meter has a claimed accuracy of ±1% and measures power output up to 2,800 watts. It also records cadence, left-right balance and pedal smoothness.
ANT+ and Bluetooth connectivity allow the power meter to communicate with compatible cycling computers and training applications. Settings, calibration and firmware updates can be managed through the CoospoTools app. The rechargeable battery provides up to approximately 300 hours of use and is charged with the supplied magnetic charging cable.
